Business Development Representative (BDR)

What Are We Looking For?

Documoto builds enterprise-scale SaaS solutions for the large and underserved equipment manufacturing aftermarket, operating with positive cash flow, happy customers, and a compelling product.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to source new business opportunities by connecting with and developing relationships with potential customers. You will develop leads from inbound/outbound marketing campaigns and outbound prospecting efforts, research and target prospects, qualify them, and nurture them to legitimate opportunities.

What are the Primary Responsibilities?

  • Understand our market, our buyers, their pain points, our Documoto platform, and how our solutions bring our customers compelling value.
  • Proactively seek new leads in our target market, perform research, initiate outreach, qualify the lead, and nurture leads to opportunities.
  • Partner with your Account Representative to execute our sales plan.
  • Work closely with marketing on messaging, demand generation, and ABM.
  • Understand our target personas and deliver messaging that will resonate with buyers.
  • Document activities, update accounts, and enter notes into our CRM.
  • Achieve your target quota and activity goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with our pricing/payment plans.
  • Report on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results. Be open to coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside your allies in Operations, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Services to ensure we're correctly positioning our solution to the right customers.
  • Exemplify our core values of integrity, transparency, and individual respect. 

What Makes You a Great Fit?

General:

  • 2+ years of work experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), Inside Sales, or another similar role in a software organization, preferably B2B SaaS.
  • Track record of successful lead generation and achieving sales quotas.
  • Ability to think creatively about applying technology to solve business problems.  
  • Team player who is self-driven, results-oriented, fun, energetic, and coachable.
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced environment, working on small teams and independently to set and exceed expectations.  
  • Experience in manufacturing, technical publications, or engineering is a big plus.
  • Experience with CRM software, especially HubSpot, is a plus.
  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
