Read on to learn more about Documoto’s Top 3 Accomplishments of 2021.
SHARED CARTS
Do your customers often order the same parts regularly? Then look no further than Documoto’s Shared Cart feature. Whether your customers perform regular maintenance, sell consumable items or annual inventory, Shared Carts will provide the convenience they need.
Documoto’s Shared Carts feature enables users to create predefined shopping carts that include specific part numbers and quantities that are broadly accessible to users across one or more organizations. Users can quickly populate shopping carts by loading one or more shared carts, saving time and reducing errors when ordering repetitive items. Once the shared cart has been loaded into a shopping cart, users can edit, add or delete parts as needed and place their order or quote.
BROWSE FLOWS
A Browse Flow is a navigational tool that helps guide your users to specific content or information in the Documoto Library. For example, when a user clicks on Browse tiles on the Library home page, the Browse Flow path will guide users to available results such as parts, pages, books, documents, images, videos, etc.
The new and improved Browse Flow functionality allows administrators to create a series of different Browse Flows that drive the Documoto Library Browse user experience and then assign the Browse Flow to one or many Organizations. This simplified management eases setup and ongoing maintenance of Browse Flows, ensuring you get the results you want, every time and in every situation. In addition, existing Browse Flow structures can now be copied to streamline the creation of similar but new Browse Flows.
NEW PROCESSING/QUEUING SYSTEM
Documoto has handled heavy processing needs through a queueing and background system for many years. In the past year, that existing system was pushed to the limit by ever-increasing, large-volume publishing, indexing, and other process-intensive customer needs. As a result, our Engineering team undertook an initiative to identify and implement a new queuing platform that accommodates current needs and positions Documoto well for the future. Since its launch in July, this new platform has performed even better than we hoped, bringing increased stability and scalability in handling large requests. We have additional improvements planned for the coming year. These ongoing architectural changes are critical to our long-term strategy to continue meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
